Ilona Swaring

Over the years, Ilona Swaring has supported projects that bring natural beauty, dignity, and humanity into psychiatric spaces throughout New York.

Her advocacy and philanthropy are grounded in the belief that those closest to a person living with mental illness can make an extraordinary difference in their well-being and quality of life—without sacrificing their own. Caregivers often see what others may not, and their voices offer perspectives that mental health professionals need to hear.

Ilona lives in New York City, where she dotes on her daughter, son-in-law, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren (with another on the way!), and her cat, Tiger.
