Beth DeCarbo Reading and Q&A: Pioneer Ridge, Lawrence, Kansas

Beth DeCarbo made a wonderful return to Lawrence, Kansas. This time, rather than having her car almost towed from the dorms of KU, she’s come back to her college town to do a lively reading and Q&A for the residents of Pioneer Ridge.

Not only were attendees treated to excerpts from her book Mom & Pop Hardware: A Kansas Girl’s Quirky Childhood at My Folks’ Competing Stores, but after the reading, Beth led the audience in a rousing game of Name That Bolt! (Perhaps you’ve never played that one?)

Catch the video to experience Beth’s nostalgic retelling of her truly quirky childhood—and maybe even hone your hardware identification skills.
